As a registered nurse (RN) since 1983, most of my career has been spent caring for premature and special-needs infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). During this time, I understood the invaluable benefits of mother’s milk for these special babies and I thoroughly enjoyed helping mothers breastfeed. Overtime I developed a passion for breastfeeding and pursued my certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2000.
I have a Masters degree in Maternal/Child nursing from University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and a post-masters certificate as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) from Rush University, Chicago.
While working as a nurse practitioner in a pediatric clinic, I realized that the on-going needs of breastfeeding mothers are not fully met in a busy pediatric clinic due to time constraints and lack of expertise in lactation management. After working for over 25 years in hospital settings, I decided to open up my private lactation center where I can provide undivided attention to the needs of nursing mothers and babies and provide compassionate, evidence-based, and affordable services.
I have been married since 1986 to my husband Joy, who is a great support to my new endeavor. I have two daughters, Jasmin who is in graduate school and Jocelin who is in med school. Both enthusiastically encourage me and help me with the new avenues of my career.

- Accept Illinois Medicaid /AllKids insurance with no additional charge/co-pay
- Nominal charge for cash paying customers with free follow-ups
